Always in Motion.

Meet the Team

Kenneth Swartout and Joshua Weinfeld studied percussion performance together at the Vanderbilt University Blair School of Music. Through their performance studies and faculty support, their shared interests in audiovisual capture led to early recording projects and ultimately Continuous Motion Productions.

  • Co-Owner

Following his recent completion of undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University, Kenneth is working as a freelance videographer, social media manager, and percussion instructor in Nashville Tennessee. At Vanderbilt, Kenneth pursued his B.M. in percussion performance under the tutelage of Ji Hye Jung and W. Lee Vinson. During his time at Vanderbilt, Kenneth also grew the athletic bands program, becoming the percussion director of the Spirit of Gold Marching Band as a sophomore. Kenneth keeps close ties to Vanderbilt, continuing as the marching band’s percussion director and working closely with students and faculty through Continuous Motion Productions.

Kenneth was a member of the Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble in 2016 and 2017, and a member of the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps from 2017 - 2020 where he learned from world-class instructors Colin McNutt, and was voted “Crusader of the Year” out of a 160 person membership. In addition to his work with Vanderbilt’s marching band, Kenneth has worked closely with several other high school programs in Colorado and Tennessee as an instructor and music arranger. Kenneth’s exposure to this wide variety of musical ensembles presents many opportunities to expand his passion for videography and video editing through video projects for the ensembles he teaches and performs with.

Additionally, Kenneth values the collaborative and creative experience of working with others on projects that they value, a passion that translates from his musical world of performing and teaching to his production endeavors of filmmaking. Kenneth hopes to continue teaching music and stay active in the videography field as a means to collaborate with others.

  • Digital Marketing and Content Creation

Matthew Oh joins Continuous Motion Productions fueled by a love of storytelling through music and media, a product of his diverse background in freelance content creation, military family advocacy, and percussion performance. Matthew made his film debut as a second grader with a massively mediocre indie stop-motion short film, which premiered roughly around the same time as his first drum set lessons. His early experiences in digital media, whether for school projects, extracurricular events, or volunteer activities, developed a passion for media creativity and freelance work.

Having moved 10 times as a military child, Matthew greatly values community and service, specifically through music and media. As a high schooler, Matthew channeled his experiences to co-found Bloom, a global community for military teens that is now a program of the National Military Family Association. In Nashville, he currently serves as communications director for Chamber Music City, a performing arts nonprofit, and manages social media for the Community Arts Collective, an educational organization creating transformative musical experiences for local K-12 students.

Matthew is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree at Vanderbilt University, studying percussion under Ji Hye Jung and W. Lee Vinson, with a secondary major in Cinema and Media Arts. His studies at the Blair School of Music have afforded him opportunities to perform in South Korea and Colombia, in addition to summer festival studies at the Scotia Festival of Music Young Artist Program in Nova Scotia, National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute in Washington, D.C., and Sandbox Percussion Seminar in New York City. At Blair, he also serves as social media coordinator for the Vanderbilt Percussion Group, graphic designer for the Music in the Real World Colloquium, and assistant for the Vanderbilt Youth Orchestras program, while also in high demand as a freelance digital media creator for guest artist, faculty, and student recitals.

Matthew is excited to explore new artistic territory as a member of the Continuous Motion Productions team.
